We did a great job with the Osseo Lions Roar Parade! We get better at this every year, and the Lions Club is always pleased with what we do there. There were two representatives of the Eden Prairie Lions club present, they are planning to start their own parade and wanted to see how we did things.
The next volunteer opportunity is the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Oct 6th. Ideally, we would have 2 people at each checkpoint- we don’t even have enough for 1 at each checkpoint, so please try to make time to help that day. All that you need is a VHF/UHF handheld.
Congratulations to our new board members Alex Kintigh and Ervin Kleinschmidt. Alex was also elected as our new Secretary at the board meeting. Thanks to both of you for stepping forward to help shape the future of Maple Grove Radio Club. Also thanks to Pat for agreeing to serve another term, and to Peter to continue on as Vice President.
