We had our second in-person meeting at the Chester Bird post, and I think it went much better this time with the sound system the post provides. Michael Martens, KB9VBR, gave a great presentation on NVIS antennas.
I would like to thank Dallas O’Dell for his stint as newsletter editor. You’ve done a great job, and I’m sorry you are stepping aside. You raised the bar on the quality of our newsletter, and that’s going to be a tough act to follow.
Field day is coming up this month, on June 25th & 26th, with preparations on the 23rd and 24th, and at the club meeting on the 7th. This is perhaps our favorite operating event of the year, and I’m looking forward to it. Roy Wood and Carolyn Maristany are organizing it and will need all our help to make this the best event ever. We’re going to be at the Chester Bird post again this year.
