Another great Field Day is in the books. I don’t have the scores yet, but by any accounts we had fun, met with friends, and got on the air, so it was successful! Big thanks to Roy and Carolyn for their leadership and technical knowledge.
Thanks everyone who made the MS-150 bike ride another great success. The Multiple Sclerosis Society is always appreciative of how dedicated and professional we are at these events. There’s another one coming up later this month, from July 24th to 28th, starting and ending in Ottertail. This is a chance to work for a good cause and practice your Public Service and Emergency Communications skills. Talk to any officer if you’d like to volunteer for this.
A much easier event is the Jim Deane Memorial Rice Lake Fun Run, on the morning of July 15th. Talk to Phil Peterson if you’d like to volunteer for this. All you need is a handheld transmitter!
Our third session of Labs will be tomorrow, July 3rd. Since we can’t solder at the Chester Bird Post, this will be at Gordon Patenaude’s house. Thanks for taking the initiative on this, Gordon! Send Gordon and email if you’d like to be included on this.
Reminder- we’ve already had our July meeting, since the first Tuesday of July is the 4th. So we’ll see you August 1st for our next meeting!
The 13 Colonies event is going on now! I’m doing it at home, I’m already up to 9 and I haven’t been trying very hard. Aaron Lewis, W0ADL, is putting together a group of people to go to our shack at the Legion post and participate, contact him if you’d like to join in.
That’s all for this month.
