Last month was the MS Ride Across MN, in the iron range area. I’m sure Dave Englund, our Editor, will include pictures of his first experience being a driver for an MS event. Thank you Dave, and to everyone who helped.
HF Band conditions continue to improve. Now is the time to get your General license! We don’t have a General license class this year, we’re teaching Amateur Extra. If you’re a good study, there’s a lot of overlap, and you can do both. Classes will start in October, details forthcoming. If you don’t have HF equipment, any TALARC member can use our shack at the Chester Bird Post. Talk to Tim Arimond if you haven’t been checked out.
The Antique Car Run is August 13th. According to Terry Thurn, we have enough operators to cover the route and net control. More drivers are always welcome though.
Save the dates- the Osseo Lions Parade is September 10th, and the Twin Cities Marathon is October 2nd.
Breaking news! We’ve been informed that the Buffalo Civic Center is not going to be doing their remodeling project in 2023, so they are now taking reservations. The board has made the decision to reserve March 18th for Midwinter Madness 2023. Put that in your calendar now!
