Happy Halloween! I hope everyone had a great close to the fall season with a little bit of snow to wrap it up. We had a busy month with all of our events. I want to start off by thanking everyone for their volunteer efforts with the marathon, and a special mention to Stephen (KF0AED) for his work on coordinating everyone. I also hope you had a good time at the Amateur Radio Convention and walked away with more information or something new to research.
We are also that much closer to getting our HF antenna back on the air, Aaron Lewis, W0ADL, has done a great job with that and getting a crane to help get our new mast up. Keep an eye out for a call to help with the final few pieces.
The amplifier is also up and running in the shack so once the HF antenna is up you will need to talk with Tim Airmond to get a lesson on using it. Tim and Gordon tested it and it’s ready to rock. We just want to make sure everyone is safe and we protect the operators and equipment before it’s use.
The last big thing to talk about is the American Legion possible relocation. At this time there is talk on relocating the American Legion. Right now nothing is set in stone and I will of course keep the club in the loop if/as things develop. We are still planning on TALARC and MGRC and the American Legion partnership and hope to continue having a place for our shack and meetings.
I hope to see you all at the next club meeting this week!

Zach Whitney
