Dear Members,
October is officially here, autumn in Minnesota is rolling in. Consider this your friendly reminder to finish up those outdoor antenna projects before the winter frost sets in so you can settle into the warmth of the shack for the season!
Our upcoming October meeting is a big one because we are kicking off our annual board elections. During the meeting, we’ll break down what it means to join the board, go over the different roles and responsibilities, and talk about the actual time commitment. We’ll also have plenty of time to answer any questions you have.
All members in good standing of MGRC are eligible to be nominated. Self-nominating is allowed and encouraged. Whether you are a seasoned Elmer or new to the hobby, you can bring a fresh new perspective to the board. That is what keeps our club exciting and fun. Following the meeting, we will kick off the official elections. They will take place online via Election Runner as usual. So be watching for your email invitation.
Please join us for this meeting on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:00 PM. You can attend in person at the Chester Bird American Legion or join us online via Zoom.
Aside from the meeting, don’t forget to check into our weekly club net. It’s always a great way to test your gear, stay active, and catch up.
